The British High Commissioner to Ghana, Mr. Peter Jones says Komla Dumor’s death has robbed Ghana of a “wonderful ambassador.”
Mr Jones said: “I want to join Komla’s colleagues, family and friends in expressing deep sympathy and grief on his passing.”
He signed a book of condolence opened at Joy FM in honour of the late BBC World TV Broadcaster who died on Saturday.
The British Ambassador said: “The world is a poorer place without him”.
Komla Dumor died Saturday January 18, 2014 at his home in London.
He joined BBC radio in 2007 after hosting Joy FM’s Super Morning Show for a decade.
The 2003 Ghana Best Journalist moved to BBC television in 2009, anchoring live coverage of major events including the funeral of North Korean dictator Kim Jong-Il and the wedding of Britain's Prince William, Kate Middleton, and the death of Nelson Mandela in December last year.
