Xiaodong share the same enthusiasm with me about edible gardening. During the season we share the seed, seeding and also the harvest. She is a such nice, wonderful human being. She will be missed forever. 

Dear Xiaodong, how I missed you! It has been six years since we left Pennsylvania, but every time I thought about old friends there, your warm smile always filled my heart. You are the most capable lady I have ever seen. I remember the days YouYou slept on your back, the secret recipe of your delicious pasta and the little apron you made for every kid on YaYa’s birthday. How I wish I could talk to you again. RIP, my dear friend!

California sunny days hurt the most.
Everywhere I go,
A familiar figure came into vision.
Always cheerful and lively,
She stood out in any crowd.
Dark, short hair fluttered up and down,
Charming smile, perfect teeth,
Cross shoulder bag is the signature.
Forever young, like a college kid.

Nothing can be compared, to the priceless memories we shared. It is so painful to lose a close friend like you. You will live at the bottom of my heart forever. Miss your smile, miss your warmth and miss you as such a wonderful friend! R.I.P. Xiaodong!

Not a sister by blood, but definitely a sister by heart!

I still cannot believe that we lost Xiaodong, such a dear friend. I will miss you, miss your vegetable, miss your veggie seedlings. You are such a informative person, always brought so much convenience to the friends around you. Almost everybody I know ate something from your vegetable garden. Without you, there is that hollow forever.

We were so deeply saddened to hear the sudden passing of Xiaodong. She was such an amazing and fantastic friend! We will always miss her warmth and bright smile, her garden, her chickens and her warm house.
