Don't grieve for me, for now I'm free
I'm following the path God laid for me
I took His hand when I heard Him call
I turned my back and left it all.

I could not stay another day, to laugh,
to love, to work or play.
Tasks undone must stay that way
I've found that peace at the close of the day.

If parting has left a void, then fill it
with remembered joy.
A friendship shared, a laugh, a kiss,
Ah, yes, these things I too will miss.

Be not burdened with times of sorrow
I wish for you the sunshine of tomorrow.
My life's been full, I savored much
Good friends, good times,
a loved one's touch.

Perhaps my time seemed all to brief,
Don't lengthen it now with undue grief.
Lift up your hearts and share with me,
God wants me now, He set me free.

The devil and the duck

Shared by Kirsten Van De Linden on December 24, 2011

 Yentl wrote this July 14, 2009

There was a little boy visiting his grandparents on their farm.
He was given a slingshot to play with out in the woods.
He practiced in the woods; but he could never hit the target.
Getting a little discouraged, he headed back for dinner.
As he was walking back he saw Grandma's pet duck.
Just out of impulse, he let the slingshot fly, hit the duck square in the head and killed it.
He was shocked and grieved!
In a panic, he hid the dead duck in the wood pile; only to see his
Sister watching! Sally had seen it all, but she said nothing.

After lunch the next day Grandma said, 'Sally, let's wash the dishes'
But Sally said, 'Grandma, Johnny told me he wanted to help in the kitchen.'
Then she whispered to him, "Remember the duck?'
So Johnny did the dishes.
Later that day, Grandpa asked if the children wanted to go fishing and Grandma said,
'Im sorry but I need Sally to help make supper.'
Sally just smiled and said, 'well that's all right because Johnny told me he wanted to help?
She whispered again, 'Remember the duck?' So Sally went fishing and Johnny stayed to help.

After several days of Johnny doing both his chores and Sally's; he
Finally couldn't stand it any longer.
He came to Grandma and confessed that he had killed the duck.
Grandma knelt down, gave him a hug and said, 'Sweetheart, I know.
You see, I was standing at the window and I saw the whole thing, but because I love you, I forgave you.
I was just wondering how long you would let Sally make a slave of you.'

Thought for the day and every day thereafter:
Whatever is in your past, whatever you have done...?
And the devil keeps throwing it up in your face (lying, cheating, debt, fear, bad habits, hatred, anger, bitterness, etc.)
Whatever it is...You need to know that:
God was standing at the window and He saw the whole thing.

He has seen your whole life... He wants you to know that He loves you and that you are forgiven.
He's just wondering how long you will let the devil make a slave of you.

The great thing about God is that when you ask for forgiveness;
He not only forgives you, but He forgets.
It is by God's grace and mercy that we are saved.
Go ahead and make the difference in someone's life today.

Always remember: God is at the window!
When Jesus died on the cross; He was thinking of you!

Remembering You

 Remembering You

From the time you graced the earth
To the time you left
Your spirit is felt
No more pain, no more tears
No more heartache for your to bear

A beautiful Rose
Gone to the sky
Way up high.

Your smile lights up the room
When you enter
Your touch calms our souls
When we are in despair
Your presence is felt
Forever more

You embraced us with protective arms
You gave advice with earnest truth

Somewhere way up high
You are smiling down
Wishing that we
Move on with our lives

Forget and forgive
You will be released from your internal demons
Love yourself
And move on

Your smile,
Your beauty,
Your love,
Will never be forgotten.

Me and Yentl

Shared by MICHAEL Cels on September 2, 2011

Me and yentl used to  talk heaps online, about  everything  mainly life, living, what we  each had as problems and how we overcame them and the challenges involved. Talked about  Jesus  and  how he forgave all sin  because  he  can forgive all sin. We swapped  lots of songs. Our favourite song is

Opwekking 496 Kadosh

it is easily  accesable  on  you tube and is sung in hebrew first and then dutch and lyrics on the screen.

I still play it lots as it is a favourite of mine and always will be

The Ocean

Shared by Chastidy John on March 31, 2010

Before Yentl Passed away she told me she went to the Ocean as she so loved to do. Yentl also knew as I was a small child I desired and longed to see the Ocean as well. Yentl told me someday I would see it. Yentl said when she was at the Ocean she looked out and smiled. Yentl told me when I see the Ocean to look out and smile and she would be smiling back at me. This is a pic of me thinking about Yentl as I starred off at the Ocean. How I wish she could have shared that moment with me....but after I thought about it, she was in that moment with me. Christ was with me and Christ is in her so we shared it together.

For my friends

Shared by Kirsten Van Der Linden on November 10, 2009

I found this on Yentl's computer.

For my friends

God be with you till we meet again;
By His counsels guide, uphold you,
With His sheep securely fold you;
God be with you till we meet again.

Till we meet, till we meet,
Till we meet at Jesus’ feet;
Till we meet, till we meet,
God be with you till we meet again.

God be with you till we meet again;
Neath His wings protecting hide you;
Daily manna still provide you;
God be with you till we meet again.

God be with you till we meet again;
With the oil of joy anoint you;
Sacred ministries appoint you;
God be with you till we meet again.

God be with you till we meet again;
When life’s perils thick confound you;
Put His arms unfailing round you;
God be with you till we meet again.

God be with you till we meet again;
Of His promises remind you;
For life’s upper garner bind you;
God be with you till we meet again.

God be with you till we meet again;
Sicknesses and sorrows taking,
Never leaving or forsaking;
God be with you till we meet again.

God be with you till we meet again;
Keep love’s banner floating o’er you,
Strike death’s threatening wave before you;
God be with you till we meet again.

God be with you till we meet again;
Ended when for you earth’s story,
Israel’s chariot sweep to glory;
God be with you till we meet again.

Poem for Yentl

Shared by Chastidy John on August 31, 2009

Yentl was a caterpillar on her Journey in this walk of pain.

Struggling every inch with hope of movement and hope of gain

Weathering storms and endless wind it seem to remain.

But for a moment she took the Journey all alone

Searching for something, the peace within.

Happiness and Joy something learned but yet unknown.

As the days got longer and she needed rest.

A place was given to recreate and become new

God placed her soul in the hands of the best.

It was time, time for her to become a new creation

To spin the past away and lay the foundation

To continue the Journey to her new Destination.

God protected her soul and built a hedge around

To keep out the devil and all the evil sounds

Until that day comes when he lifts her off the ground.

It is the day she was born with wings

The Heaven’s opened up beaming down light

And the beautiful sounds as the angels sing.

She broke through that shell that was no longer her sin.

And spread her wings as a new life begins.

Yentl was full of Joy and was set free

She took flight for all to witness, miraculous wonders

A testimony for all as it was meant to be.

Fly my lil butterfly, fly and soar around.

Fly and spin, show them your colors

Until your gentleness comes back to the ground.

You flight is completed and God has called you home

To fly into his arms, where you will never be alone.

I was talking to a fellow sister in Christ this morning and she shared with me. She said in last couple weeks Yentl was alive her co-workers came to visit.One of them did not go to church for many years,the co-worker now  went back to church.

Two co workers started biblestudy at Kirsten's church.They wanted to know more

This is what I have always thought about Yentl..Her walk in this life was never about her..it was about who she would surround herself with and how she would impact everyone's life!!! I thank you and Praise your name Jesus for making her your walking vessel..Thank You Thank You Thank you!

Yentl was like a mother hen to me, right up until her last days here on earth, even though she was slipping away from us, she always inquired after my health, and her first question would be..have you heard from the hospital yet?...such an unselfish girl, and never ever complained, but instead had a beautiful relationship with our lord...and now she is at peace and at home with Him.....

i can just see her as we all get there...she will be there smiling waiting to greet us and usher us in...

God is great

When my life has reached its very end,
And I take that final breath;
I want to know I've left behind,
Some "good" before my death.

I hope that in my final hour,
In all honesty I can say:
That somewhere in my lifetime,
I have brightened someone's day.

That maybe I have brought a smile
To someone else's face,
And made one moment a little sweeter
While they dwelled here in this place.

Lord, please be my reminder
And whisper softly in my ear ...
To be a "giver," not a "taker,"
In the years I have left here.

Give to me the strength I need,
Open up my mind and my soul
That I might show sincere compassion,
And love to others before I go.

For if not a heart be touched by me,
And not a smile was left behind ...
Then the life that I am blessed with,
Will have been a waste of time.

With all my heart, I truly hope
To leave something here on earth ...
That touched another, made them smile
And gave to my life ... worth.
Until we meet again, my sister, my friend...
She touched me, she is so much in my heart.. I Cry, and I am forever Thankful to Our Lord For Taking Her Hand and Leading Her Home (Julia)

Isaiah 55:8
For my thoughts are not your thoughts, neither are your ways my ways, saith the LORD.

When Yentl came into Oasis, she was so curious about everything. I remember when she shared that dream. It was so obvious that the Holy Spirit was drawing her to Christ. She struggled with the english language at that time and she worked so hard looking up all those words in her dictionary, trying  to follow the conversations, only to discover that we were just talking about food or using some crazy slang.She would often pm me and ask me to tell her what was important to read and what wasn't because it was all so overwelming to her.

One day I came in from boating and when i got to the car i checked my phone for messages and she was sooo excited to tell me that she'd decided to make Jesus her savior! I asked her what she'd been doing that day, "Bible study with Rob" was her answer.

She was always thinking of others, sending those cute little pictures in comments or encouraging notes. We listened to music sometimes. She had a real knack for finding beauty.. in music, words, pictures, and especially in people. But I liked her questions about the Bible the most. We'd search out the answers together or I'd send her information and then she'd come back with dozens more questions. She loved to study and learn.

I"m so thankful that God brought Yentl into my life. I can't wait to see her again!

Always thinking about others....

Daughter of Christ

Shared by Chastidy John on August 27, 2009

I was having a rather down day the other day. I went out to mow the lawn to spend some time with Christ. As I was mowing this little butterfly kept swirling around my head. I looked at it and it gave me instant peace. I mowed for the next 2 hours and that butterfly followed me where ever I went.

At one point I stopped and smiled. I did the silliest thing. I said a prayer, then blew a kiss to the butterfly and said I love you Yentl.

Later on that day I talked to a local Pastor. I said anything significant about butterflies?

He had not known what I had done. He said Chassy, people use to say if you if you said a prayer and blew a kiss at a butterfly that butterfly would take it back to Heaven and give you what you asked.

And I want Yentl to know I got my prayers answered sis!!!!

If Yentl taught me one thing it was HOPE. Never to give up hope even in the toughest times in our lives.

I thank Jesus every single day that I had known you. I am the one whom was blessed.

So sis...as I ended our conversation for the past almost 2 years...

I love you always and forever...

Rest well you are free...you are free indeed
