This beautiful God sent woman impacted my life in such a grandiose way at a very young age. Yes, she encouraged the power in the choice of our words. I, along with so many, was her student at Taylor Memorial from 3rd - 5th grade. This petite, quiet spoken, faithful and dutiful woman didn't play with any foolishness. She held us to a higher standard that I've lived with academically to this day. She encouraged us to think and have faith in a very real way. Her legacy is strong. Sending love and light to her family. Thanking God I was in her presence. Rest in love and power.

So sad to hear about the passing of Mrs. Streeter. I can't adequately put into words how much of an impact she made in my life as a teacher at Taylor Memorial. I am so glad I was able to see her a few years back and give her one last hug, may you rest in eternal peace Mrs. Streeter and my heartfelt condolences to Mr. Streeter, their sons and entire family.

I was so sorry to hear of Yolanda's passing. She was a wonderful, godly woman. I only ever heard her speak with gentleness and kindness. My children were older and did not have the opportunity to attend the classes she taught, but those who did always spoke so highly of her loving, caring heart. I pray for God's comfort for her family as they mourn their loss.

Words can not express how much Yolanda will be missed. My family and I were devastated to hear of her passing. Through Katy and Marc, I have known Yolanda for some years now. She was the most sweetest, caring, loving, patient, and one of the kindest individuals I had the pleasure of knowing. And not to mention the best teacher. My children had the pleasure of experiencing her phenomenal teaching on a few occasions through Tinkergarten. To Yolanda's family, please accept our most sincere and deepest condolences. We will be praying for you all and mostly for Alexander during this time of sorrow. We will always be here for you and we love you all.

With all our love,
Kim, Kenny, Aubrey & Carter Jones

We are heartbroken to hear the news of Yolanda's passing. She was one of the greatest 'finds' of our homeschooling experience. She brought joy and activity to learning and my kids reflect the ability of her knowledge in the foundations she gave them in her class. She was kind, soft spoken, patient, knowledgeable and a joy to know. She'll forever be in our hearts.

Our thoughts and prayers to all of Yolanda's family. Yolanda was a friend, teacher and wonderful woman of the Lord. She taught science classes to my children and hundreds of other children in the Tampa Bay area. Her loving approach to helping students with difficult subjects will always be remembered. By touching the lives of so many students with God's design in all of science, she has also touched the lives of those student's children - so her legacy goes on. Thank you Yolanda for being an example of a life well-lived, and a life lived for the Lord. Thank you to Michael, Michael and Marc for allowing her to share her life with all of us.

She has been a mother to me after the passing of our mother, sister, and best friend. Words can't express how much love her. I miss her every waking minute of the day. The last few days there are moments when I don't know which way is up, but I hear her words in my ear, pray about it.
So I encourage everyone to pray through these hard times.

Let her light continue to shine through us and she will live on!

Love you Yolanda, your baby sister.

A Loving Memory, A loving Soul

Yolanda and I grew up together attending Carver Elementary, and H.B. Plant H.S. ‘74. I considered her my “super smart cousin”! Always, wise and mature beyond her years. Our lives went their separate ways over the years but, we were catching up...I can hear her voice & intonation so clearly! I will miss her dearly; remembering, her kind, patient, generous nature. A sweet spirit indeed

This world has lost an amazing woman

I never had the privilege of meeting Yolanda in person but I felt like I have known her a really long time.  I only got to talk to her on the phone through her little sister Charvette.  She was Charvette’s everything........ they would talk every morning on the way to work and she always treated me like I was her family. She was one of the most sweetest, kindest ladies I never got the chance to meet in person. Our sincerest condolences to her sister Charvette and her loving family.  We pray for God to give them the strength to get through this most difficult time.  Heaven has gained an angel May she Rest In Peace
