Yvonne Cates, age 81 of Dayton passed away Tuesday May 1,2018 at Sycamore Medical Center. She was born July 19,1936 in Wheelwright Ky to the late A.J. Grimes and Rosie Mae Slaughter.
Yvonne was preceded in death by her special uncle and aunt Willie B. and Bethal Jackson. Cherishing her everlasting memories are her children Peggy (William) Craft, Rose (Jacqueline) Cates, Robert Cates, Paul Cates, Geneva Wilson, Rick (Shawnda) Cates, Michael Cates, Sherrie Cates, 29 grandchildren, 44 great grandchildren and 4 great/ great grandchildren.
Family will receive friends on Saturday May 12, 2018 from 12:00- 1:00 PM at New Birth Missionary Baptist Church 2822 Nicholas Rd. Dayton ,Oh 45417. The service will follow at 1:00 PM. Yvonne will be laid to rest at West Memory Gardens Cemetery in Moraine, Oh.
