Zachary Johnson age 38 passed away Tuesday, March 12, 2013 at Health Baptist Hospital in Montgomery, Alabama.

    Funeral services will be Saturday, March 16, 2013 at 1:00 p.m. at Mt. Silla Missionary Baptist Church in Union Springs Alabama.

     Visitation will Friday, March 15, 2013 from 3 to 6 p.m. at Allen Chapel at Allen Funeral Home in Union Springs, Alabama.

   Burial will be held at Mason Cemetery in Union Springs, Alabama.

    Zachary Ulysess Johnson was born on July 18, 1974 to Nettie Carolyn Johnson-Jones of Union Springs, Alabama and Freddie Sutton, Sr., of Montgomery, Alabama.

     He accepted Christ at an early age at the Mount Silla Missionary Baptist Church in Union Springs, Alabama.

     Zack received his formal education through the Bullock County School System, as a graduate of the 1993 Bullock County High School. He furthers his education through the Alabama State University, graduating in 2003 with his Bachelor Degree in Education.
 
     His first teaching position was at Hope Academy in Eufaula, Alabama, where he found his love for teaching and mentoring the students. He later returned back to his alma mater, Bullock County High School to continue his passion of teaching and mentoring. Zack was pursuing his Master Degree in Education at Alabama State University and would have graduated in May of 2013.

     In life Zack had a passion for learning. He loved education and cultivating the minds of youths. He was known to spend countless hours helping students after school to prepare for exams.
 
     Survivors include his mother, Nettie Carolyn Jones (John Bernard) of Union Springs, Alabama; his father, Freddie Sutton, Sr. (Velma) of Montgomery, Alabama; brothers: Landon X. Johnson of Union Springs, Alabama and Freddie Sutton, Jr. (Christine) of Atlanta, Georgia; sister: Julie Sutton of Montgomery, Alabama; uncles: Jack Fields, Sr., and Eric Daniels both of Union Springs, Alabama; step grandmother, Bernice Morgan (James) of Detroit, Michigan; stepsisters: Patricia Pettaway and Frances M. Lester both of Montgomery, Alabama; a host of very close cousins, nieces, a nephew, other relatives and friends and a godchild, Xavier Harris; a very special and devoted friend, whom he considered his brother, Dean Scott of Dothan, Alabama.

     Zack touched the lives of all the people whom he met with his laughter, compassion, love and loyalty. He will be forever remembered and missed by those who he knew.
