His Life

Mr. Zedker Lee Beasley was born August 20, 1945 in Troup County Georgia. He was the second oldest child. After graduating from E. W. Kight High School he was drafted into the United States Army. He proudly served our country during the Vietnam Era. He was stationed in both Copenhagen Denmark and Germany. After being honorably discharged from the military he attend business school and graduated from Troup Technical College with a Certification in Brick Masonry. Zed loved to work with his hands and create unique brick designs.

He confessed Christ at an early age and united with Hills Chapel United Methodist Church in Hogansville. He served faithfully as a Steward for several years. He later united with Warren Temple United Methodist church of LaGrange. He loved his church family dearly and faithful served the Lord in several capacities. One of Zed’s greatest passions was helping and feeding others.

He retired as a self-employed brick mason and from Exxon Mobile in 2007. He was currently employed by St. Mark Episcopal Church where he was served as their sexton. But he especially loved seeing the children play and creating a safe and secure environment for them to learn. He was faithfully known as Mr. “B” by all of the children.

Zedker was preceded in death by his mother Mabel Lucille Beasley. And his brothers Kenneth Beasley and Jessie Wilbur Grissom. He leaves to honor and cherish his memories: his daughter Sherry Beasley of Hogansville; his sons Demetrius (Erical) Beasley and Felix Beasley both of Chattanooga, TN; his brother and sister-in-law Marshall and Bertha Beasley of Livingston Alabama; sister-in law Lizzie Mae Grissom of Lagrange; granddaughters Demetria Beasley of Washington D C and Shea’Diamond (Michael) Morgan of Chattanooga; two very special cousins Mattie L. Rosser and Arneatha Bernice Mitchel both of Hogansville; a devoted Godson Andrew Ligon; a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, great-nieces and nephews and friends.
