The cry of the baby signaled a life had come forth. The baby boy kicked and braved to conquer the world. Ambrose was not just any other baby but one full of hope and determination.
Ambrose academic brilliance was noted at his formative years in school and would not keep his colleagues at ease as he would pull triumphs. He was always not ready to settle for anything less but being at the top. This earned him academic rewards and accolades all the way to the university. His schoolmates keen to ape him could not resist the temptation of hanging around, perhaps for some coaching on the difficult sums. His peers and teachers nod and say, “Ambrose was brilliant.”
Ambrose passion for God was vividly evident. He was dear to his Bible which he stauchly read and meditated on. His warmth in believers’ fellowship was felt and his devotion to ministry particulary to the children and youth was exemplary.
Ambrose was a role model whose legacy lives on. He contagiously touched many lives through his acts of benevolence, kindness, chastity and love. He was sociable, likeable, went along well with people with his welcoming smile perpetually rested on his face. He was a man of few words, with his soft speech giving forth admirable wisdom and wit.
Ambrose was a man of strong spirit and determination. He defied all odds to excel. He surmounted his challenges. He did not relent to soldier on. He was a conqueror and a victor.
We celebrate the life of Ambrose as we reflect the lessons we have drawn from his life. We shall miss him and forever his memory shall fondly remain in our hearts.
