Ms. Annie L. “Tricia” Floyd, the daughter of the James Harris and Annie V. Slaughter was born September 30, 1957 in Chambers County, AL. She departed this life February 6, 2014 at the West GA Medical Center, LaGrange, GA.

“Tricia”, as she was known to most, attended the West Point Public Schools System.

She accepted Christ at united with the Jehovah Baptist Church under the leadership of her brother, the Rev. Michael L. Slaughter, Sr.

Trisha loved to cook. She was always cooking and inviting family and friends over. She always has a smile on her face when she greeted you.

She was preceded in death by a daughter, Teresa L. Floyd; her father, James Harris; her grandmother, Geneive Newton and an uncle, Robert L. Newton.
 

She leaves to cherish her memories: her companion for 35 years, John Wesley Davidson, West Point, GA; son, Eric B. (Nicole) Floyd, Opelika, AL; her mother, Annie V. Slaughter, West Point, GA; four grandchildren, Eric and Sejuana Barber, West Point, GA; D’Querious and X’aria Floyd, Lanett, AL; two sisters, Brenda(Willie) Hodo, West Point, GA; Diane Bell, LaGrange, GA; three brothers, James (Chantel) Brown, Pastor Michael (Julia) Slaughte and Bruce(Tabitha)Slaughter, West Point, GA; five nieces; two that she reared as her own, Keomeshia Slaughter and Alexis Murphy, Yolanda Williams, and Fresheta Slaughter, Tywana Davidson; four nephews, Tamarco Hall, Harold Slaughter, Michael L. Slaughter, Jr. and Chazaray Brown; a host of aunts and uncles, cousins and other relatives and friends; special friends, Michael McQueen, Irene Truitt and Sherry Barnes
