Arthur “Arbie” Elliott, 72, a lifetime resident of Granville County, passed away Tuesday, October 13, 2015 at Granvile Medical Center after a brief illness.

A native of Granville County, he was the son of the late Robert Louis Elliott and Nannie Wilkerson. He was a member of Stovall United Methodist Church and was the “Lawn Mower Man” in Stovall.

Funeral services will be conducted at 12:00 PM Friday, October 16th, 2015 in the Eakes Funeral Chapel in Oxford by Reverend John Yount and Reverend Sam Brewer. Burial will be in Meadowview Memorial Park.

Surviving are his sister, Julia Pugh and a brother, Jerry Elliott, both of Stovall, several nieces and nephews and a special cousin Emma Lou Wilson. He was preceded in death by a sister, Annie Rose Elliott.

Flowers are accepted or memorials may be made to Stovall Methodist Church.

Visitation will be held Friday October 16, 2015 from 10:30 to 12:00 prior to the funeral at the Eakes Funeral Home in Oxford and at other times at the home of Julia Pugh in Stovall.
