Arthur Harris Jr. also known as “Bro” (Brother) was born May 31, 1942 to the late Arthur Doug Harris and Mrs. Lucille Harris. He was the oldest son of fourteen children.

He joined Shiloh Baptist Church at an early age and later transferred his membership to Mt. Venus Baptist Church. His favorite hobbies were working on cars, gardening, and fishing. He had an infectious smile and loved to laugh. He loved his family dearly.
 

He married Lilly Parks Harris and was a devoted husband and family man.
 

He was preceded in death by his father and mother, Arthur and Lucille Harris; sister, Heather and Linda; brothers, Joe and Henry Harris; and his niece Nicole Harris.
 

He leaves to cherish his memory, his wife Lilly Harris; his children, Annette Harris Godfrey (George), Cynthia Harris, Vanessa Harris Langhorne (Michael), Arthur L. Harris (Deborah), Corey Harris, Alphonso Harris, and Rodney Reed; sixteen grandchildren; six great-grandchildren; five sisters, Betty M. Mitchell, Annie J. Brittian (Elijah), Mildred Patton, Debra E. Stevens (Randy), and Sandy Strozier; four brothers, Floyd Harris (Mary), Sylvester Harris, Rayvie Harris (Betty Ann), Jerome Harris (Regina); eleven brother and sister-in-laws; a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, and other relatives and friends.
