His Life
December 8, 2014

Frank graduated from Lanett High School, and then attended Auburn University before graduating from Samford University with a bachelor’s degree in business. Frank was very active in politics and in many civic organizations. At 5 years of age, Frank’s dad, Arthur Frank Patterson, Sr., took Frank to an event attended by former President Eisenhower, where Frank was able to shake the former president’s hand and speak to him. Frank later conducted political and state-interest interviews for the Alabama Cable Public Affairs Network. He also met former Presidents Nixon, Carter, Ford, Reagan, Bush Sr., and Egyptian President Anwar Sadat shortly before President Sadat’s assassination. Frank’s civic memberships included the Phenix City Rotary Club, and he once served as president of the Montgomery Quarterback Club. In 1993, Frank obtained a Juris Doctorate from Jones School of Law, and served as clerk for Montgomery Circuit Judge Randall Thomas. Frank also served as an Assistant Attorney General in Montgomery, before practicing law privately in Chambers and Russell Counties. He was a member of the Russell County Bar Association.

He is survived by his mother, Anne Patterson of Lanett, by his brother and his sister-in-law, Jeff and Wendy Patterson of Montgomery, by his nephews, Brock and Ian Patterson of Montgomery, and by several cousins.
