His Life

A native of Jonesboro, GA., and the son of the late Jeff D. and Mary Q. Dickson Turnipseed, Arthur retired from the U.S. Army after over 25 years of service, receiving numerous medal and awards, namely the National Defense Service Medal, Good Conduct Medal, Army Commendation Medal, Vietnam Service Medal w/3 Bronze Stars, Vietnam Campaign Medal, Vietnamese Cross of Gallantry, 5 Overseas Bars, Air Medal, Master Parachutist Badge and 8 Service Stripes. He was a member of the Disabled American Veterrans Chapter 56.

Surviving are his beloved wife, Yvonne "Dutty" Mahone-Turnipseed; three daughters, Keisa Tigner(Reginald, Sr), Caterica Hall-Turnipseed(Quanterrios Barber) and Tionna Rockeymore-Turnipseed; two grandsons, Karson Barber and Darrin Gordon; three sisters; loving nephews/son, Marcus T. Mahone and sons, William Spaulding and Reginald Tigner; loving in-laws, Gloria Mahone Graham, Richard Mahone(Rita), Eddie Mahone(Alice) and Lester Mahone; and a host of other relatives and friends.
