  He worked for J. O. Barber for many years and Laney Hobis until he retired.  He love to hug and greet you with a kiss and pinch your jaw.  He love his fish and his cat Sylvester.

  A Time To Die
  Arvis Lee Snelling departed this life on September 25, 2014.  He was preceded in death by his father, Oliver Snelling; two daughters, Shaquita
Snelling, Gloria Ann Snelling; son, Arthur Lee Snelling; two sisters, Ella Mae Thrash, Willene Snelling; grandson, Isaiah Snelling.

  He leaves to cherish his memory, a loving and devoted wife of twenty years,  Mary Lee Snelling; two daughters, Shatina (Windor) Snelling, Bernice Bray; three sons, Jimmy (Cecelia) Bray, Arvis (Ashley) Snelling, Jamarkus Snelling;  a loving and devoted Mom, Georgia Lee Snelling; four brothers, James Robert (Rose) Snelling, Willie C. (JoAnn) Snelling, Eli Snelling, Oliver Jr. (Everyln) Snelling; three sisters, Beatrice (Simon)Reeves, Sara Lee Snelling, Earlene (John Henry) Harris; fourteen grandchildren; six great grandchildren; one sister-in-law, Louise G. Bussey; a host of nieces, nephews, and friends; and one special friend, Herman Robinson, Jr.
