Beatrice Peller Odenheimer, 97, passed away on Nov.14, 2014 at The Fountains at Canterbury in Oklahoma City, OK. She was a devoted wife, mother, friend and community volunteer. She was an avid supporter of the arts. Beatrice loved to sing, especially opera and enjoyed painting and cooking.

She was born on Dec. 11, 1916 in Pittsburgh, PA to Benjamin Peller of Austria and Ann Aronovitz Peller of Ukraine..Beatrice grew up in Pittsburgh, Pa and moved to Detroit, MI where she completed her high school education. She married Kurt John Sigmund Odenheimer in [1939] in Steubenville, Ohio. They were happily married for 48 years. 

 She attended college at Loyola University in New Orleans, LA at the age of fifty. In four years she earned three degrees; Bachelor of Science in Dental Hygiene,  Bachelor of Arts in Sociology and a Masters of Arts in Education.  She was the administrator for the City of New Orleans Head Start Dental Program, establishing numerous dental clinics throughout the city. 

Beatrice was preceded in death by her beloved husband of 48 years, Kurt John Sigmund Odenheimer; her parents, Benjamin and Ann Peller; and her siblings Leonard Peller, Sydney Peller, Albert Peller, Sam Palley, and Lou Palley.                                                                             

Beatrice is survived by her four children Charlotte Hartmann-Hansen and her husband Tore, Bethlehem, Pennsylvania,  Dr. Burtram Odenheimer and wife Jane, Wichita, Kansas,  Dr. Germaine Odenheimer, Oklahoma City, Oklahoma,  Dr. Reynard Odenheimer and wife Rita, Lake Charles, Louisiana;  nine grandchildren, Elisa Schooner, Karl Tore Hartmann-Hansen, Reynard James Odenheimer, Dawn Lindshield, Brianne Purdy, Ariel Odenheimer, David Odenheimer, Arthur Odenheimer, Thomas Odenheimer; one great grandchild, Jakob Hartmann-Hansen, and a host of nieces, nephews and extended family.
