This photo was taken 2 days (Nov.16 1977) before our youngest son, David Rico Montijo, died after Open Heart Surgery on Nov. 18 1977. He would have turned 3yrs. old on the 22nd of Nov. 1977. He Loved his Mother Dearly, They are together in heaven.
Beba's favorite singer was Bruno Mars, she loved the song "Count On Me". When she got her voice back in the hospital, she and her Grandson James, would sing it together, her voice would crack and break but she kept singing, I would be all teared up and all mocoso, I had to go into the restroom and get it together. She lived by the words of the song,That was really how she lived her life, she was always there to help anyway she could. RIP Babe
We use to go camping at Rosarito Beach for two weeks during the summer break way back in the late 50s, Sam & Sylvia Head would bring Beba with them on a Friday, we would have a camp fire on the beach, just the kids. Beba and I would walk down the beach and lose track of time, and everyone would come looking for us, that song was one of Beba's favorites. I could"nt wait for them to get there. Thats when we fell in Love. One Summer Night
