Papa Benjamin Ilori Adetunji was born on the 24th of september, 1926 in Ile Ife Osun state and was privileged to be mentored by the late pastor and mama Odunlade of the first Baptist church, Ilare, Ile ife.This brought about his conversion to the christian faith.He attended Baptist central Primary school. Ile ife and had a brief stint at Oduduwa college ile ife. Due to ill health, he was unable to complete his secondary education, he later attended Baptist College Iwo ( now Bowen University campus) and later furthered his studies in the United Kingdom and was an Associate member of the Institute of commerce He taught in various primary and secondary Modern schools in Ile ife, Igbesa, Ogbomoso,Ilesha and Benin city, He later Joined the shell petroleum company and retired in 1989. He got married to mama Victoria Taiwo (nee Fayemi) on the 25th of December,1960, and blessed with children and grandchildren. It is pertinent to note that dad was an active christian who used his God given talents in teaching God's word, reaching out to people without grumbling. He laboured in God's vineyard till his last days and we take solace in the fact that he has gone rest with the Lord.
