|Let the memory of Betty be with us forever|
Betty Lee Gladding, daughter of Emma and Harvey Spurrier, passed away on Sunday, August 25, 2013 at the age of 86. She is survived by her husband Alfred E. Gladding, her son Charles Gladding, and her daughters, Donna David and Terry Gladding. She took pride in her six grandchildren and in her final years, her pride and joy was her great grandson, Lennon Claremont.
She was blessed with a long and happy marriage to her high school sweetheart that spanned 67 and ½ years. She was an integral part of Al’s success at the FLEXCO Company. She hosted countless social events and retirement parties. As a result, she was the only non-employee to receive a service award from the company.
Betty also contributed over 20 years of volunteer service to The Central Dupage Hospital as the head of their Hostess Services Department. She coordinated meetings between families and their doctors and implemented the program that kept a patient’s loved ones informed of their progress during surgery.
Betty was known for helping others through difficult times by always providing a sympathetic ear. She was a loving wife and mother and she will be greatly missed.
A MEMORIAL SERVICE WILL BE HELD IN HER HONOR

1795 JOHNSON FERRY RD.
MARIETTA, GA 30062
SATURDAY SPETEMBER 28TH AT 1 PM

"What a great lady! So glad to remember her. God bless you, Al and family."
"Hard day today. Did my best to not let it show, but I have been thinking about you all day. I don't miss you any less as time goes on. They say it gets easier but it doesn't. I celebrate you every day in one way or another. How can it be three years it seems like yesterday. Grief is the price of love so I am so blessed to have had that love in my life. Mom, you will be forever missed. I love you. Sputnik"
"Happy Birthday mom. I think about you every day and am thankful that you are where you want to be. I love you and miss you but I feel your presense with me. Have a piece of Birthday Cloud cake for me. XXXXOOOO"
"It's a wonderful day to remember Betty and her beautiful smile. She never failed to ask, "How are YOU?" Great lady.
Peace & love to Al, Donna and the whole family.
Linda & Chuck Shrake"
"Dear Al and Donna,
Charlie and I have been thinking about Betty lately and missing her so much. I just made her Sauerbraten recipe that she wrote out for me, and it brought back a lot of memories we will always hold dear.

"Dad Wouldn't mom be so proud of all the wonderful things that are happening this year? Brian starting his MBA, Christopher's first Engineering job and his visit to Michigan, Ryan and Penny's upcoming visit and planning our future second Gladding family reunion, just to name a few. Our family was strengthened when we all met for her memorial. There are so many blessings that we are experiencing. Instead of feeling sad that she is not here, I'm realizing that our happiness and successes are all results of the foundation she gave us. She is with us and a part of all that is good for us. New experiences and new loves are found because of the times and love we had with her."
Fond memories of Betty and time spent with the two of you flood my heart. What a wonderful life you & Betty shared.
In peace & love,
I think of Betty whenever I see you in church. She was a grand lady. So hard to believe it's been 2 years. My prayers today include you and her. Bless you my friend. Billy"
"Dad. This will always be sad and happy day for me. Sad because she is gone on this earth but happy because she feels no pain and is where she was so ready to be. On this two year anniversary of her passing I want you to never forget how much I love you. You took such good care of her and she is watching you shaking her head every time you do laundry. She is one in a billion and will always remembered and loved every day for the rest of my life."
"Happy Birthday Mom. I love you and you are on my mind every day."
"Wishing you could be with us today. Thinking of you so much this week and remembering so many special times you were a part of. Missing you....."
"Dear Al, Donna, Tom, Brian, Charles, and Terry,
It doesn't seem possible that a year has gone by since Betty joined the angels. Yesterday, another angel joined Betty in Glory. They shared many of the same friends and were members of a very elite book club. I can see Betty greeting Nancy with a smile and a hug.
May God bless you all as you remember Betty and her life with us.
In Christ's love & peace,
