She was born in October,
Barely 20 years ago.
Her friends all called her Suzie,
But, I just called her Bo.


Her home broke up when she was young,
She had so hard 'a time.
Then she was adopted,
By a couple of friends of mine.

She grew up hard and fast,
With a temper too hot for much good.
But, she could be as sweet and kind,
And gentle as anyone could.

Sometimes she was wild and adventuous,
She was courageous and brave.
She loved fast cars, fancy clothes, good country music,
And Dave.

Then one day as Winter came,
Laying down her cloak of white,
She bore to him a fine young son,
After a long hard night.

I remember when David went away,
She'd just sit and rock and cry,
I thought she'd never get over him,
But, one day she met Si.

She told me once she loved him,
And they married in the Fall.
A year later she bore him a son,
This one was quiet, and weak and small.

You know, The Lord giveth and taketh,
 And that day He took Beu.
And just a short day later,
Her infant, "David Jo".


She camr to this world in the Autumn,
In the Autumn she went away,
Taking one son to be with her,
Leaving one here for today.

Now, all I have are memories,
That time cannot betray,
But, I'm glad I touched a part of the life,
Of a girl, just a dream away.
