Her Life

Who she was....

April 18, 2013

I can clearly remember spending holidays at my Aunt Kate's house.  She did all the yummy cooking and always had plenty of left overs.  Time spent with her, and my uncle when he was alive, were some of my most cherished memories.  She was always up for a joke, a smile, a kiss hello, and she had a heart of gold.  In fact, I lived with for awhile my oldest was 9 months old, which shows just how supportive of me she was.  And she was stubborn....but she stayed true to her beliefs and didn't care what anyone thought of her because she did so.  I miss her....I miss her so very much.  I only wish she would have allowed me to visit when I asked...I would have known how fast her health was declining.  Not that there could have been anything to prevent it, but I would have said more, done more, had I only been aware.  I will always regret just not barging in on her, regardless, but I will always treasure the unconditional love she so readily gave, asking nothing in return.
