In loving memory of Charles Milton Carter a devoted husband and father of six children. His wife,Esther Marie Carter, proceeded him in dealth and was the mother of his children. Charles was an ex Marine and defended this country in the Korean war. He worked and retired from the Post Office, providing as best he can for his family. He later became ordained as a Reverend and had a church in the Bronx.
He remarried and later relocated to Maryland with his wife. After a few years, he became sick with Cancer and a few years later succombed to it.
He will always be remembered for cooking his kids nice hearty Sunday breakfast and special treats. Although a large burly man (that nobody messed with...LOl). he enjoyed cooking..and pampering his first wife...
Rest in peace...Charles M. Carter...

LEARNING TO PLAY THE PIANO..
I remember one day me and my father was talking. We were driving somewhere and was listening to music on the radio. A song was playing which was all piano and sounded so nice. I recall saying outloud how I always wanted to play the piano and my father chirped in and said that he always wanted to play the piano as well. I was stunned to hear this as those of you who know my father, he has very large hands with short stubby fingers and generally people who play have long "piano" fingers...
I guess I was stunned to learn that he wanted to play such a delicate instrument...him being a former football player and all. I would think he would gravitate towards playing a sax or guitar. There are so many things unknown about my father, his ambitions and desires...am happy to learn about this one.
