He was a great provider for all the family. When Stella got sich he was there by her side and still took care of the children. It took a tole on him that is for sure.  Stella was in hospital and the children were at Mrs. Nora house on 10 and Ft. Harrison. Stella had surgery for the cancer and was not good. Chet had went to hospital and told old Dr. Jett that if she didnt make it he would take care of him. Chet swore the reason she died was because when they opened her up it just spread ithe cancer. The day she passed he came in from the hospital and tried to tell us kids the best he could about it but he couldnt be strong for it.  He loved Stella very much. She was buried and I sat on a bench at the graveyard while Dad nelt and cried. Never will forget that picture.

His son Chester was foiund deceased in Statesman Inn motel Feb 9,2007

                             Ernest A Goings born Dec 26, 1899 in ILL  passed May 4, 1955.
