Still stunned at the news that Chris has passed. I worked with Chris for many years and we have argued and laughed together. Through the past two years we have cried together as he was a constant support for me while I fought cancer. Chris always had encouraging words to share with me when I needed it most. Chris embraced life and all it had to offer. My life is richer thanks to him. He definately enjoyed this leg of his journey and I am sure he is smiling at all the kind words being spoken about him. RIP Chris.

Geologic Mapping
Chris loved geology and the earth, he also loved to teach this geology. The Del Norte High School Science Olympiad Geologic Mapping team were invigorated by his enthusiasm and knowledge of the topic. Just two weeks ago he lead a field trip to a real Tourmaline mine near Pauma, during this time the students mined for semi-precious gems.
I know each of the students learned from Chris and thank him for his time.
My daughters especially loved to find the “gems” and I know are looking forward to going back to find more!
