Marine Cpl. Tevan L. Nguyen, 21, of Hutto died Dec. 28, 2010, during combat operations in Helmand province, Afghanistan. He was assigned to the 3rd Battalion, 5th Marine Regiment, 1st Marine Division, I Marine Expeditionary Force, at Camp Pendleton, Calif.


Tevan was a good man, he was a real christian. Tevan and I were
together for 4 yrs. Tevan was like a big kid, I used to joke around
that I didnt need to have a baby because he was like having one...He
loved the ninja turtles and batman. He played football at Hutto High
when they went to state. He wanted to go to school after he came home
from afghan and take care of our son, Tevan lee nguyen jr. and I. He
loved our baby boy, he was so excited when he was born, September
6,2010, a couple weeks before he deployed. Tevan wanted to get married
and have a big family...It was so hard to stay mad at him, he always
managed to make me laugh. He was one of the silliest people I knew and
I loved him for it.
