This memorial website was created in memory of our loved one, Daniel Padilla, 55, born on January 10, 1959 and passed away on April 24, 2014. We will remember him forever.
Daniel “Danny” R. Padilla, 55, of Cheyenne, formerly of Las Vegas, passed into the arms of Jesus on April 24 at Davis Hospice Center, surrounded by his family and his cousin, Richard, after several months of battling cancer.
He was born Jan. 10, 1959, joined with the most loving three sisters and three brothers that meant the world to him. See you in heaven.
He was raised in Cheyenne and graduated from Central High School in 1977. He was a journeyman painter. He loved being with his family and all his friends, enjoying life to its fullest.
Danny is survived by his mother, Maria “Annie” (Padilla) Blea, and stepfather, Fred Blea of Cheyenne; sisters, Darlene (Rick) Stigall of Henderson, Nev., Joanne Adams and Christena (Calvin) Padilla; brother, Gary (Renee) Padilla; and a devoted friend of Cheyenne.
Danny is preceded in death by his father, Telesforo J. Padilla; brothers, Tally, Ray and Ron; grandparents, Amado and Isabelle Padilla, and Fabian and Minnie Baca; and numerous uncles and aunts.
The family would like to thank the sixth floor and ICU staff at Cheyenne Regional Medical Center, and the greatest staff at Davis Hospice.
A vigil for the deceased is at 7 p.m. Wednesday at Schrader Chapel. A funeral liturgy is at 1 p.m. Thursday at St. Mary’s Cathedral with Father Keoune celebrating. Interment will follow at Olivet Cemetery.
Pallbearers are Gary Padilla, Shilo Padilla, Justin Padilla, Richard Padilla, Paul Aragon and Calvin Harris. Honorary Pallbearers are Corey Kasten, John and Thomas Cummings, Elias Padilla, Mark Padilla, Junior Abeyta, Chasity, Lily, Nicole, and Michael Martinez and all of his cousins and friends.
