On your 10th Year Passing Anniversary

July 30, 2022
Dear Minister of Enjoyment

I remember you this Month, July 2022 for the 10th year anniversary of your passing. 27th of July 2012. I remember our fun memories when we took the kids to school in the morning and pick them up in the afternoon and catch up to talk about what we have done so far with our Mary Kay business during the day. You always give me a run for my money by starting those healthy competition of who will sell a particular new product the most. I remember how you always get me to prep for a fun and entertaining getaway for Mary Kay events. Our Movie nights at Pastor Jade and weekend date nights. Whaoooo.. You were a beautiful sister that brought Joy and energy into my life. I miss you sis. And May God continue to look after your entire family. I'm so proud of Chantelle and the beautiful and intelligent lady she has become. And to Uncle Olu for being such and amazing dad. May God bless him plenty. Rest on Delphine. Your sister from another mother, Antonia xx

Fond memories of Delphine

July 28, 2019
  • It's the 7th anniversary of your passing and you remain fondly in my thoughts. The number 7 is symbolic in many spheres including biblically. In the morass that surrounds life in general,   memories of you lightens the mood. I bless God for the life you lived, the family you left behind and for your legacy that lives on. You were gracious and kind, loving and welcoming, selfless and thoughtful. You were indeed a daughter of Zion whose uniqueness permeated. Your good naturedness live on in our memories. Continue to rest in peace.

Shopping

August 9, 2012

I remember taking these photos of Aunty Delphine when we went on a shopping trip into town. I remember how adamant she was that she buy me something that day even though I was actually working for her at the time. That's just the kind of lady she was, wanting to touch and bless everyone she came into contact with, regardless of their circumstance.

An encounter

August 5, 2012

Wow! The only experience I had with you was a professional one over three years ago. You invited me for a mary kay make over at yours in bromley. I remember asking myself, "why is she so nice". I was a very young student, you gave me loads of free make up, I was sooo excited. You offered me so much food, and I spent time with your daughter, she was so lovely. I met your lovely husband, I hope that God strengthens them both through this time. Rest in Peace!

A Woman of Honour

August 3, 2012

Among several times I met Sis. Delphine within and outside the church. One memory lingers on with me. It was an occasion of Mary Kay party in Ilford. While some were wondering, Sis. Delphine on sighting me cheerfully walked up to me, welcomed me and gave me all the pastoral accolade she could. She offered me everything fit for the occasion. And made me feel appreciated.

I felt honoured and respected, though it was a May Kay event. What an honourable woman she was. I continued to imagine the cheerfulness of this wonderful woman whom little did I know would not be around for very long afterwards. And that was my last sighting of her until we see again in the Lord.

May your gentle and vibrant soul rest in peace forever and strength for your family and friends around.

Generous heart

August 1, 2012

Sister Delphine, your generous heart captivated me when i first met you.  You introduced youself and lavishly gave me Mary Kay products to try.  I said to myself "I love her skin, the product must be working" I changed my powder from Bobby Brown to Mary Kay.  Thank you

I cannot forget last year when you came to my shop and mesmerized me to a complete face make over.  I still remember your gentle touch and expertise advice, I shocked myself with amount of things i bought because of your professionalism.  Another Tx

Above all, our fellowship together! both bible class and prayer meetings.  Indeed you are a woman after God's heart

The Megaphone

July 31, 2012

This is one of many funny experiences I had with Delphine. Pastor Yemi bought a megaphone to use for evangelism and decided to open it in the presence of Delphine, Chantelle and I, on opening the box this megaphone was hugh that Delphine and I could not stop laughing. What happened was Pastor Yemi was not allowed to open the megaphone in the shop so the 1st time he saw it was at home.

Delphine decided to video it, the funniest part of this was she was doing a video of it, asking herself questions and also the one answering the questions. It was supose to be a 2 way communication but conducting both the questioning and answering herself, it was so funny that Chantelle and I were on the floor making fun of Pastor with this megaphone.

We said to Pastor if he does not want the police to arrest him he should ensure the megaphone is used only at Hyde park not at Bromley or West Wickham.

Delphine, I will surely miss many of our beautiful time that we spent together. Desperado outing will never be the same again.
