I took derrick with me in the tractor trailer to north carlonia about 33 yrs ago. The weather turned very bad, heavy fog and very hard to see so i pulled over and parked against a mountain. Derrick crawled in the sleeper about 4 in th morning and fell asleep. At 6 i awoke and he was gone. i searched for him about half an hour, no derrick i was scared out of my mind. Walking across the parking lot i could hear him shouting at me and when i looked up at the top of the mountain there he was sitting way up on the top. He had climed up there in the fog and on the ice about 400 feet. I asked him why and said dad i was ok. I knew at that moment his life would be different and i would never stop worring what he would do next He never let me down and he knew no fear. He was so much like me i guess i knew how his life would be. I know i miss him Dad.
