Her Life
March 28, 2015

Mrs. Clark was born in Clay County, Alabama on November 24, 1933, the daughter of the late Lottie Adelia Hassel Jones and Ross Coe Jones. For many years she was employed by the Heard County Court System where she served as the Assistant Clerk of Court. She was a very active member of the Franklin First Baptist Church where she had been a Sunday School Teacher, and when her daughter was young she served as the co-director of the Girls in Action organization. For over twenty years she served the children of the community as she participated in the Vacation Bible School Program. As a person who had a true servants’ heart she preferred to work behind the scene rather than bring attention to herself. Even though she never performed in public she loved to play the piano and organ, and sing. Her family reminisces about her playing the organ so long that it would over heat and turn off. She was a wonderful wife and mother, and a very meticulous house keeper. Mrs. Clark was very proud of her daughter Tracy, and felt she was her life’s greatest accomplishment. She will long be remembered by all those who knew and loved her.

She is survived by her husband, Bill Clark of Franklin, GA.; daughter, Tracy Clark Dunn (Randy) of Olympia, WA.; sister ,Nelda Sue Estes of Cartersville, GA.; brother, Paul A. Jones (Sybil) of Douglasville, GA.; and numerous adoring nieces and nephews.

Other than her parents she was preceded in death by her brothers and sisters, Coe Jones, Lerone Hodge, Dooley McLain, Jo Jones, Nettie Thompson, Laverne Toney, Bovine Moore, and L. C. Jones.
