Doris Lambert Daniels, 88, went to be with her Lord and Savior on October 2, 2013. She passed away at Sutter Eden Medical Center in Castro Valley, CA.  She was born on October 12, 1924 in Latah, Washington to the late Ora and Jacob Clark of Orland, CA.  Along with her parents she is preceded in death by her husband Ralph Daniels, her first husband Jackson Ross, her siblings, the eldest three of whom she never knew their names, Grace Mc Daniel, Willis “Leonard” Clark, and Raymond Clark. Doris leaves behind her two sons, Dennis Ross Sr. and Arnold Daniels, Arnold’s fiancée, Chrysan Carlson, her grandchildren and acquired grandchildren, Dennis Ross Jr., Jason Ross, Tiffany Ross, Jeremy Ross, Christopher Simmons, Brooke Simmons, Nathaniel Daniels, Destiny Daniels, and 18 great grandchildren.

Doris moved as a small child from Washington to Orland, where she was raised. After graduating high school in 1942, she stayed in Oakland with her sister Grace, for a short period of time, where she attended   finishing school.  After returning to Orland, she married Jackson Ross in 1945. Shortly following the birth of their son Dennis, they divorced. In 1952, she married Ralph Daniels and they moved to Hayward, CA where Doris raised her family and resided for over 60 years.

Doris was a very devoted daughter of God. She was a righteous, virtuous woman with a nearly flawless soul. Her family was her most prized possession and her life’s work was caring for them. Doris’ favorite hobby was photography. No matter where she was, there was a camera in her hand, capturing the joy of every moment, from everyday life to special occasions. Doris cherished every memory and enjoyed more than anything to make those memories tangible so they would never be forgotten.

Doris will forever be in the hearts of those who knew and loved her. She is unforgettable…
