Her Life

Life of Edith L. Padgett

June 4, 2012

Edith was a very happy child. She was precious to us. She was born on Jan 4th. 1962 to the proud parents, Jerry and Anita Padgett, at Shephard AFB,
TX. Family and some friends called her Edith, but some called her Edie.
Edith was saved by the Lord Jesus Christ and on August 5th. of 1969, Bro,
Johnnie Caldwell baptised her at the First Baptist Church of Goose Creek, SC.
Her mother's dad was partial to little girls, and was so proud of her. She
lived with her mother's mother and brother after she graduated from High School. She loved Texas. She worked while there and attended Midwestern University in Wichita Falls, TX.
Edith always loved to be with family. Her Dad's family always got together, in December, for a Christmas get-together. Edith loved to go.
Even after she had the first stroke she looked forward to going every year.

Edith spent countless hours working on genealogy. She knew many ways to work on her genealogy. She wrote some memorials for an uncle and a grandmother. She wasn't satified with just the family tree of grandparents, she wanted to find out about the cousins, too.
Edith loved to read. We'd take her somewhere and she alway had a book with her.  Edith had two house cats that she loved a lot. She was so upset when we had to find them a new home after her first stroke. She loved her parents dachshunds. We would take Adolf to see her in the Nursing Facility. She loved to see him.

Edith had a younger brother, Dwayne E. Padgett, that she loved dearly.
We have missed her and will always miss her.
Edith was very sick and would have been and would have been like a vegetable which made it easier to give her up. But we know that she's well taken care of in Heaven. She doesn't hurt which must be glorious.
We'll always miss Edith and always love her.
