In loving memory of EDNA BIH TUNYI MONJU

Biography

Edna was born a twin to late Pa Daniel Gweku Tunyi and Mama Tabita Nsose in Mbengwi, Momo Division Cameroon, Africa on April 22, 1968.

She attended Primary school in Mbengwi and Bamenda. She went to Presbyterian Secondary Schools Batibo and Kumba for her secondary education. After graduating from Nacho Comprehensive High School, she briefly attended Presbyterian Teachers’ Training College in Mbengwi before moving to the United States in 1994.

As a Licensed Practical Nurse, she worked with several health care services around Maryland and Washington D.C.

Edna answered God’s divine call to rest in Him on August 27, 2012 at 10:23 PM at Washington Adventist hospital in Maryland, following a brief illness.

Edna was the most devoted mother and worked tirelessly to provide for her family. Her life’s journey was not always easy but her warm smile; unyielding love of family, and hardworking nature carried her through life. You could always count on her to keep trying even when the tides were against her.

She will be remembered for her soft spoken, gentle and selfless nature, her incredibly forgiving kindness, generous spirit and willingness to help others.

She leaves behind two children, Akumbom (Ryan) 17 and Bella 16, her husband Raymond Monju, her mother, a brother, her twin sister and three other sisters; several nephews, nieces, uncles, aunts, cousins, in-laws and friends. 

She will be greatly missed by everyone who was lucky enough to know and love her.  Edna will forever be in our hearts!  She lives on in the life of all the people she touched!

May Edna's gentle soul rest in perfect peace!
