Born in Meriwether County on May 14, 1949 to the late Charlie and Lucile Colton.  He was the third child of six children.   Edward obtained his education in the Meriwether County School System.  He was employed with the William L. Bonnell Company for over thirty-four years.   He joined White Plains Methodist Church at an early age.   Edward was a loving brother, uncle and friend.  He was a beautiful person.   He leave to cherish his loving memories, a son, Phillip (Kristy) Brown; four sisters, Thelma,Colton, Rubie Colton, Mattie Harris and Marie Colton Collins; one brother, Melvin Colton; one aunt, Mrs. Agnes Colton; a host of nieces, nephews, great nieces and nephews.
