Whatcamacallit

November 19, 2014

Here is a story of one of my earlier memories in life, which happens to illustrate the playfulness and gift my Aunt Frannie had with children.

One day Aunt Frannie was watching Tara and I (we were about 5-6 yrs old) and took us to Wassum's (now I am really dating myself) in Polly Drummond Shopping center.  She asked us what type of candybar we would like.  I responded with "Whatcamacallit" (no clue if they even still make this candy bar).  Aunt Frannie, with her large grin on her face, responded, "Well is it a Hersey bar, Snickers, M&Ms?"   I then responded, "No Aunt Frannie, the name of the candy bar is Whatcamacallit", she again playfully responded with more candy bar names.   The exchange went on and on with lots of giggling inbetween.

Aunt Frannie is more than just an Great Aunt to me, but a second Grandmother!   I will miss her dearly!

My love to all the Morgans at this very difficult time.

One thing we had in common

Noni would kill me for posting this picture, but it is one of the most memorable and funniest moments in my life. I had to get my two front teeth pulled out before Thanksgiving of 2007. When I arrived at Debbie and Steve's for dinner, I suprised Noni by walking up to her without my flipper on and said with "Hi Noni!" and gave her a big toothless smile.

She looked at me with a huge suprise on her face and then said "hey Chris, check this out!" She then pulled out her bridge and gave me a huge toothless smile.  We cracked up laughing....As you can see in this picture it was pure joy.

There was never a moment in my life that I spent with Noni without laughing. I always left her presence feeling better. Thinking of Noni will always make me laugh on the inside.
