His Life
September 8, 2012

George was born September 21 1935 to Alice and Thomas Quinn in Hollis Queens N.Y. George was the last of the Quinn kids which included 3 sisters and 3 brothers...After awhile the family moved to Jamaica Queens where George attended Immaculate Conception Grammar School and Jamaica High School...He joined the National Guard and later enlisted in the U.S.Army..He did his basic training where he became friends with Tom Rainone (who has since passed) who was also our son Franks Godfather and Bob Robinson who lives upstate NY and is our daughter Elises' Godfather..I still hear from Bob at least once a month since George is gone..They were all sent to Germany for about 18 months..After hearing some of the antics of Bob R God Bless The USA...

They came home in October of 1955..Tom and Bob went their separate ways but always found the time to keep in touch! George went to work in NYC at Penn Station..We got married in 1956 and once the babies started showing up we lived in a few towns until 1975 when George had a heart attack and began to talk more and more about moving to Lake Havasu City Arizona..we finally made the move in 1977 ,opened up a restaurant ..that didn't work out ..It wasn't a complete loss because we did get two daughter in laws out of it..We moved back to NY where George got his old job back..But we were bound and determined to get back to Az as soon as possible.

We went back to AZ in 1987 and to this date we are still here..George started working for Factory Auto Parts and when that was  sold it became Car Quest...After many years there he was "retired" ..Not knowing what to do at that point he decided to do what he liked and opened his own repairs and maintenance called "Let George do it"...he loved what he was doing and worked for McCulloch Reality for at least 13 years..He retired in 2008 in order to have a pacemaker inserted and was never the same after that...He was under the care of Dr Kalin until his final days and Hospice of Havasu whch was really a god send
