His Life

A native of Greenville, AL., he was the son of Mrs. Essie Mae Moore Crenshaw and the late George Lee Womack.

A Vietnam veteran, he retired from the U.S. Army after over 25 years of service, Residing in Columbus since 1985, Mr. Womack was employed as a Card Processor for TSYS and as a Maintenance Tech at Wynnton United Methodist Church. He was a parishioner of New Testament Christian Center Church and a member of American Legion Post 267. Other than his father, he was preceded in death by a daughter, Tammy Brown and two siblings, Otis and Caesar Crenshaw.

Surviving other than his mother is a loving and devoted wife of 42 years, Mrs. Jackquelyn E. Womack; two daughters, Cynthia Womack and LaTarsher L. Womack; four grandchildren, Tristan C. Womack-Bowman, Kiara Brown, Corey Brown and Quayshawn Brown(Brittany); four brothers, John H. Womack(Linda), Sylvester V. Crenshaw, Bruce A. Crenshaw and Spencer T. Crenshaw; one sister, Maggie L. Griffin; a father-in-law, Johnnie J. Williams; three brothers-in-law, David Williams(Betty), Lavon Williams(Joy) and Johnnie L. Williams(Minnie); a sister-in-law, Janell Goldsmith(Alfonza); and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives and friends.
