Glenda was born in Medford, Oregon to Amos and Gaitha Bench on January 24, 1947. She enjoyed reading her bible and studying its history and symbolism, playing video games, watching horror movies, playing practical jokes, being with her family, and listening to the musical stylings as varied as The Hinson Family and Rod Stewart. She was funny, outrageous, deeply loving, and a secret rebel. She liked purple leather fringed jackets, and wished she could wear big feathered hats to church. She will be missed deeply.
Glenda is preceded in death by her parents, Amos and Gaitha; a brother, Lloyd and a sister Gaitha “Tootsie” Rush.
Glenda is survived by her sisters Ruth Scott, Esther Schaeffer, and Donna Pruitt; son Johnny New of Michigan, daughter Tammy Blevans of Conway, and daughter and son-in-law Tina and Robert McCully of Bigelow; eight grandchildren, Heather, Stefoni, Amos and Olivia from Johnny; Justin and Tony from Tammy and Nicole and Job from Tina; and six great-grandchildren.
