A great guy and stellar human being

I met Harry way back in 1977 when I went to work for him at a company that Harry was the foreman for. Because he always treated us fantastically, the employee's went above and beyond to meet the job load. One day, an employee who worked in a very dangerous area of the building involved with chemicals and other compounds didn't come out for a break. Harry told us all to 'NOT go in' as he entered the sealed area, where he found the employee had passed out from deadly fumes- despite wearing a respirator/oxygen tank! Harry almost died saving the guy ( he'd gone in without a mask to save the extra minutes! ) and developed a 'cough' afterwards that no doubt affected his health! The employee he saved, who was kind've a thorn in Harry's side at times, was so grateful, that he always treated Harry with great respect afterwards ( he was about Harry's age ).. Harry always had uplifting stories and always was available outside of work- should an employee need his advice. A great man!
