Today, on this Thursday, one year to the day even though tomorrow is the actual date you left us. But my heart still misses you and my arms ache to hold you just one more time. You are still my soulmate. How long does it take to stop missing someone, loving someone who is no longer there, or stop crying for the loss? I miss you and love as much today as I did when God called you home. It is 10 days until Christmas and it will not be the same without you. It will be a very sad Christmas indeed. I miss you so much and did not realize how much I loved you and that you were my life. It has been 4 monthes 10 days and 1 hour and 14 minutes since you left me and I still miss you and think of you every minute of every day. One of my favorite memories of Herb was when he just drove from Maine to my front door in Arizona--No mapquest, no garmin, just an internal compass!!! Also on that trip he dragged us ALL OVER ARIZONA. I simply wanted to go to the mall and he made sure we saw craters and ruins and the petrified forest. Thanks for making me 'miss' the mall--the memories still make me smile!!!

Oh, Herb, you were too young to have left us so soon.  Since you are up there, you can enjoy your new found peace without pain or discomfort. You were one highly knowledgeable and personable man, with a lot to offer and share. We will miss you dearly, but you will always be in our hearts and in our warm memories.  With our respect and love, Lillian and Rolland.
