James “Baw” Adams Bullock, 85, a lifetime resident of Granville County passed away Thursday, December 5th, 2013 at Hock Family Pavilion in Durham, North Carolina.

A native of Granville County, the son of the late Eddie Lee and Bertha Overton Bullock.  He was a navy veteran, a member of Geneva Presbyterian Church and retired from Flowers Bakery after many years of service.

Funeral services will be conducted at 11:00 A.M. Monday, December 9th, 2013 at Geneva Presbyterian Church by the Rev. Jason Leonard.  Burial will be in Carolina Memorial Gardens in Creedmoor.

Surviving are his wife of sixty-five years, Loretta Oakley Bullock of the home, a brother, Manley Bullock of Stem, a daughter; Robbin B. Wright of Charlotte, a son; Gene A. Bullock of Stem, one granddaughter and three grandsons.

Flowers accepted or memorials can be made to Geneva Presbyterian Church, in care of Eddie Shaw, 1612 Lewis Jones Rd. Oxford, N.C. 27565

Visitation will be held on Sunday evening, December 8th, 2013 from 6:00 – 8:00 P.M at Eakes Funeral Home in Oxford and at other time the home.

just wanted u all to know that you all are in my thoughts and prayers. I loved baw so much and am glad i got to see him recently and speak to him. Loretta and Gene i am always here to help yall in any way that i can. I am so so sorry for the loss of James. Lauren and I love him and Loretta bunches. They are such sweet, loving people. I remember Gene telling me to be sure to take Lauren to see mama and daddy for Halloween and we always went. I am so very thankful that we went this year we both got hugs from James and Loretta. May God keep your family in his arms and help you through this difficult time. We love you!

Ethel Blalock wanted to leave a tribute here: " I am very sorry for your loss. James was one of the finest men I knew. Loretta has been a dear friend and niece to me and James was always kind and also a good friend. My thoughts and prayers are with you and your family."
