James Drummond, of Alberta, VA, departed this life on Saturday, September 10, 2012 in the comfort of his home. James was born October 24, 1943.

James enjoyed socializing with family, friends and those he met at the neighborhood country store to catch up on all the latest community events. He enjoyed fishing, hunting and watching westerns. He was a member of the church Holy City and attended until his illness.

He is survived by his wife of 47 years, the love of his life Marianna Wilson Drummond, his five children, Jerome, Ella (Neolie Jr.), Erica Michelle Tara (Prece), Natarsha (Julius) all of Lawrenceville, VA; nine grandchildren, MaKayllor and Tiyana whom he reared as his own, Derrick, Tequna, Mercedes, Tonya, Julianna, Jewel, and Prece iv, two special nieces Jeanette Harrison and Lakisha Gillus; nine sisters-in-law, eight brothers-in-law and a host of other nieces nephews, cousins and friends.
