"Faye, Jerry will be truly missed. I will certainly miss walking into church and the first person I would see looking down the hallway would be Jerry. He would be smiling and saying "Hello, Debra, how are you". It did not seem like that Sunday when I walked in. He was truly one man that changed his life for the Lord and I was glad I was a part of that memory of watching him grow in Christ. I loved it when he sung the song, "The Old Man Is Dead" because not only him, but memories of others would go through my mind while he was singing.
Amy, your father was a great person. Always cherish the memories even if some were not good, because the good ones always out weigh the bad ones. Trust me I know.
He was a great father-in-law to Kris and his grandchildren he truly loved. He was proud of each and everyone of you. Just remember to live for the Lord and one day you will meet him in Heaven. God Bless each and everyone in you."

"Faye I am sorry to hear of Jerry's passing but in reality it was his home going and no words from man can comfort your heart at this time, only Gods Word can do that. I remember in my early ministry coming to LWBC to preach and how exciting it was to see you and Jerry in the congregation and to see how after all these years how y'all have grown in your faith. Jerry's legacy is that faith and testimony of his love for his Lord and now he has gone to Heaven to be with Jesus and many others and he is waiting for you to join him to be together again for eternity. Thanks for your FAITHFULNESS JERRY."
