"I had a high school friend named Martha Xanders who was dating a guy from the other side of town named Larry Norman. One beautiful summer day,was walking down the street and heard a motorcycle, turned my head and saw Larry, who waved, with a good looking guy on the back. 10 minutes later got a call from Martha who asked if I was interested in Larry s friend Art Tuddy Johnson. I said yes, and it was love at first sight. The four of us spent alot of time together,we even doubled for Prom. But then something terrible happend Viet Nam,both guys served, and all of us lost contact. I moved to Old Town in Chicago, went home to the Harbor ,and saw Larry again, He just ended a mistake marriage, and was depressed. So he came back to Chitown with me to lick his wounds. It was the wild 60s,and we had a ball. Eventually he went back home, but he needed space. He decided to start driving untill he found a new home,he found Denver. We lost touch for 30 yrs., but saw his brother Kevin's name on the internet, and he helped us reconnect. He was very happily married to his beautiful wife, with grandchildren he adored. We swapped stories, tales of grandkids, people from our past. I enjoyed evey email. Then one terrible day I got a call from Mark, with the bad news of his passing. My mind says he is in a better place, but miss his laugh every day. Every persons life was enriched by knowing him. Sorry it took so long to put into words how I felt about a good friend."
