Tributes
Leave a tributeDear Jen, Ineka and all the Family - so so sorry to hear about Poppy. She was such a fantastic LADY. Her sharp mind and beautiful thoughtful ways were appreciated by us greatly (Stewart family). She never forgot any of our birthdays or anniversaries and we personally will miss her regular phone calls. Loved her dearly. There is nothing much we can say except our sincere condolences to all of you at this very very sad passing of our beautiful POPPY. Thinking of all of you at this very difficult time. with fond love. Ian, Audrey, Lyn & family and Steven and Angelia.
The Gospel describes St Joanna as a dedicated, kind and generous follower of Jesus who on Easter morn brought spices to Jesus’ tomb. She was was one of the first to understand the meaning of the Resurrection. Our dear Johanna shared this same love and dedication. Poppy was an inspiration to all. She worked tirelessly in her care for her family. She never lost her sense of her mission in life...to serve God and her neighbors. She never stopped working, no job was too hard for her. She took great pride in serving others by cleaning, by caring, by baking (her special cake), by sewing, by writing cards. She loved her plants and had a special love for her animals, her birds, and mostly her dogs. Poppy showed us the joy of simple living. Her only vice that I know of is buying a weekly lottery ticket. Dear Poppy, we miss you and we pray that the angels have taken you home. We are sad to be sure but we will remember you in some way every day. You taught us how to live a simple, happy life in a complex world. May God Bless you and keep you always!

her, was from pictures Ineka posted on our group...but they were enough to feel the love that emanated from her eyes. This legacy of love she leaves behind will be carried on I know by Jenny and Ineka,
and hopefully we too will learn to nurture our family and friends the way Aunt Poppy did, and to love and live life with the enthusiasm that she did.
Our deepest condolence to the whole family especially Jennifer and Ineka. We are very sure that she has gone to her eternal arbor to Rest in Peace with Our loving Father Jesus Christ, whose love she exemplified throughout her earthly life. She lived a beautiful life. May her Soul Rest in Peace.
