Proud Dad
Our son, Michael, was born on December 22, and he came home in a Christmas stocking. :-) That Christmas was truly a joyful one, and his birth was a treasured gift. 8 lbs, 9 oz , 19 inches long, and all body parts worked fine! Especially his vocal cords, and even though we didn't get a good nice sleep for a long time, we loved him dearly and were a happy family.
I think this pciture was taken at our duplex in Carson City and Michael was one year old. Look at that proud smile of his dad's! Awwwwww!
But things changed, and sadly we parted when Michael was two years old. Johnny stayed in Carson City, Nevada, and Michael and I moved to Johnny's hometown of Jackson, California. Johnny's family became mine and I became a single mom and raised Michael on my own.
Johnny loved his son very much, didn't always like Michael's life choices, but Johnny was always there for him. I know Michael will miss his dad and hopefully this memorial site will help bring him comfort.
Only Just Begun!
We were married on the 10th of June, a day before my birthday. We had planned to be married at Johnny's Aunt house in their backyard. I wanted a lovely garden ceremony but due to rain we had to quickly decorate and move ceremony to a small church in South Lake Tahoe. Surprising everything turned out nicely, and we were gathered together happily with family and friends.. My best friend from high school, Jo Anderson was my maid of honor and two of my girl friends played quitar and sang "The First Time Ever I Saw Your Face!" as I walked down the aisle to join Johnny at the alter. John's best man was his best friend, Jerry who sadly passed away years ago. Like Johnny, he is forever missed too.
All of this happened nearly forty one years ago, so my memory is a little fuzzy with last names but the love, laughter, and cherish memories will always be clear to me.
