A funeral poem for my dad x
My poem for dads funeral
by Andrea Johnson
My father,
He loved times with the enjoyer's,
Trips abroad with special mates
Seeing who could drink the most, and who could get more dates
They called him " dapper diamond Johnny "
The 'Del Boy' with a jag ,
Football was his passion and he flew the gunners flag.
He had his box at arsenal
There for every game
He followed local teams as well
He loved them just the same
He always had a ton of friends so he kept a few as best
Denis hills the butcher,
Bruce heath coat, Red,
And John west
My dad was strict but soft as well
And we always towed the line
We had so much respect and love for him
What ever he said was fine.!
He was always the joker in the pack
A wild card through and through
He made and laughed at all the rules and then he'd break them too
He raised thousands and thousands of pounds for charities close to his heart
Mainly for special children who hadent much of a start.
Lastly and fittingly
A thought I will hold close forever
My dad once said to me
" when my time is up you will never walk alone
I will always be one step behind you
And when it's your time I'll be there waiting
Goodbye dad I love you x
