"Johnny was my Godson.  My memories are of us growing up.  I remember his smile and the glint in his eye.  I remember his heart was big and he was always so sweet.  I wish we had lived closer when we were grown like when we were young so we could have had more time together.  Love you, Ruth"

"Happy birthday brother. I miss you so much. This is a rough month for dealing with losses. You are thought of every day and dearly loved.I know you are in a better place, but sometimes it still is hard to believe you are not here with us. I brought you some beautiful purple irises for your plot.It is a peaceful place. And I always try to put your flowers where they are shared with the other military men that have none..Later bro."

"I am glad I got to spend quality time with you on the farm.I enjoyed the rides we took on the tractor and chasin hogs and feeding those huge catfish.
Watching you grow as you learned how to make furniture with cedar trees was amazing. You had so much talent just like Daddy. You were so special to God and I know God watches over you now."
