Johnnie W. Branch was born May 1, 1935 to the late Woodrow and Naomi Branch in Duplin County. Johnnie joined the St. Stephens United Holy Church, Mt Olive during his youngster years. He was faithful to the church as he served on the Usher Board, attended Sunday School and district functions through out the Southern District Convocation. He later united with the Guiding Star United Holy Church, Rose Hill, N.C.as a watch care member, doing whatever he could to help the ministry until his health began to decline.

He leaves to cherish his memories: a very special cousin, Swannee Branch of Mt Olive, NC; a host of other cousins, relatives, church family and friends.

Mr. Johnnie Woodrow Branch, 78, of Magnolia, N.C. died at Kenansville Health & Rehab Center, Kenansville, NC, Wednesday, Oct 23, 2013. Funeral services will be 12:00 noon  Saturday, October 26, 2013 at St. Stephens United Holy Church, Mt. Olive, N.C. Elder Danny Lewis will be officiating. Visitation will be at Hawes Funeral Home Chapel, Warsaw, N.C. from 3:00p.m.- 6:00p.m. Friday, October 25, 2013. Interment will be the Scott's Store Community Cemetery Mt. Olive, N.C.
