Her Life

My Kiddo

November 19, 2014

Julia was born in Germany in August of 1986, she had a battle with borderline club feet and was in casts from 2 days old until 9 months. She did very well and you would never know, very grateful to the care that was given for that in Germany. She then spent many years bouncing around the world with us as the military moved us. Germany 1985 to 1989 Bayreuth, 1989 to 1992 Fort Polk, LA and Fort Hood 1992 to 1994, then in 1994 she moved to Korea near Camp Casey where she resided for the next 10 plus years, She grew up there to a beautful young lady. She has many friends from that area of her life. She then moved on Florida for a short time in 1984, she went back to Korea for a short period, She met her 1st Husband who was also a US Soldier, they had two Children Zoe and Evan. She was a loving mom, in 2008 she assisted me to buy our house in texas and her mom moved to Fort Hood area as her husband deployed to Afghanistan. Up that return and after her second child, she started to have some problems medically. She was in and out of hospitals for that time, later to be divorced without custody of her children. We know deep down inside that hurt her so much. She battled this problem, and several times even tried to take her own life. Her life savior Matthew O'Connor and husband took her through these hard times. Her final diagnosis was schizophrenia and Bi-Polar disease, both treatable. She spent time in and out of institutions attempting to find the right meds for this, which are very touchy to each different patient. I was brought here to the USA from the break i was taking off contracts in the Philippines last year from the passing of my mother. Julia was doing 100% better and when I came out to Woodward for my sons wedding thereafter my moms funeral. I  decided to spend time with Julia and get work as my wife wished to come to the USA. Now this time was great for me but I always asked myself what am I doing in woodward , OK? I do now know. Thanks for god to guide me here. If you know Julias body style and shape at this time she was frail lost a lot of weight. She did so fine with the new meds over the year here she gained weight to look just great, Happy times, and Dad cooking for her :) well she felt that she was gaingin too much weight for the side effects of her meds and with the Doctor they switched to other meds, since late august. Over time this was painful to see her suffer in an out again. Lastly a week ago she was taken back to the hosptial for this and something went wrong. We do not know, nor did the autopsy pick up anything. Further testing in a Toxicology report may show. I just know she is gone and no matter what we do , we cant bring her back. I do need closure for this just. I thank everyone for the support of my daughter. Its unimaginal how to handle this........may god give me strength. Once again I will focus on this last year of many great times with my daughter to help me get by,. May you rest in Peace my Angel I will miss you forever...........my heart aches for you, Your loving Dad
