Mrs. Hatton, the daughter of the late Earl and Leila Williams Cummings, was born on Monday, July 13, 1925, in Lanett, Alabama. She was a member of Holy Family Catholic Church and the Ladies Sodality, there. Mrs. Hatton lived most of her life within a block of where she grew up, leaving only to move with her husband Jim, while he was in the U.S. Army. She was the neighborhood “Mom” for the children that grew up around her.

Mrs. Hatton is survived by her husband of 61 years, James “Jim” Hatton and on cousin, Susan Wilson.
