Julous Preston Pugh, 76, a longtime resident of Granville County, passed away Sunday, August 12, 2018 at his home.

Julous was a native of Mecklenburg Co., Va. He was the son of the late James Preston Pugh and Lillian Hite. He was a member of Tally Ho Baptist Church and retired from Ideal Fastener.

Funeral services will be conducted Wednesday, August 15, 2018 at 11:00 AM in the Eakes Funeral Chapel in Oxford by the Rev. Johnnie Yount. Burial will follow in Stovall Memorial Park.

Surviving are his wife of 52 years, Patricia Elliott Pugh of the home, three daughters, Lou Lou Pugh Askew (Britt) , Joanna Tompkins (Charles), and Connie Bowen (Ashley) all of Oxford, a son, Billy Preston Pugh (Barbara) of Oxford, a sister Jean Riley of Oxford, eleven grandchildren and four great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by a son, James Henry (Jim) Pugh and a sister, Peggy Ann McCaw.

Visitation will be held Tuesday evening, August 14, 2018 from 6:00 to 8:00 PM at the Eakes Funeral Home in Oxford and at other times at the home.
